    First startup of the year

Weather has finally warmed up enough around here for me to start riding again. Fired right up! Decided to treat myself so I ordered an Airhawk seat cushion. Looking forward to getting out on the road for a spin this weekend.

    Black on Black

I ordered a new truck for myself and tonight while out for a ride I swing by the dealership to see how they were making out with installing my accessories. While I was there I snapped a quick photo of my two babies.

    ex Triumph Dealer Closeout

I was in Bellingham, Washington yesterday and I drove past a small motorcycle shop with a Triumph sign on it. I stopped in and spoke with the owner who told me he used to be a Triumph dealer for many years but gave up the Triumph franchise due to him not wanting to invest in a new building to...

    Parked for winter

What a sad day....Parked my bike for the winter today. Did a short hop to the gas station to fill the tank up and added some fuel stabilizer. Rode back home and did an oil change then parked it at the front of my garage. Only bright spot was my new Nelson Riggs bike cover looks good and fits...

    Triumph Gauges....almost perfect

So on my ride this afternoon I was looking at the stock Roadster gauges.....I think that Triumph really got the design right. The gauges have the vintage VDO look and at first glance they seem like something from way back. The fact that they have all the electronics in them brings them up to...

Almost time to put my bike in winter storage. I keep it in my garage over the winter but I would like a bike cover to keep the dust etc off of it. I looked at the Nelson-Rigg Deluxe All Season Cover Anybody have this cover? Is it any good? What size did you get? On the website they are very...

Things I really like about my Rocket

I just came back from a nice 300 km ride this afternoon and during the ride I was thinking about how happy I am with my Rocket. I thought I would list a few things - 1) It rarely matters what gear you are in...it just pulls. 2) When I upshift there is a solid mechanical feel as it slips into the...

    Iphone

I am thinking about adding a mount for an old iPhone 4S that I am currently not using. I want a mount that will position the iPhone horizontally between the gauges and my flyscreen. I want to use the iPhone just for GPS, tracking apps and music via bluetooth. I did a search for iPhone mounts on...

    Highway Pegs - First Ride

I did 350 KMs yesterday with my newly installed highway pegs.....First time I ever rode a bike with highway pegs. I found that having an option to switch my foot/leg position was a huge plus for comfort. I can give the Triumph highway pegs two thumbs up.

    Sena 20

I rec'd the Sena 20 I ordered today. Not had a chance to use it yet but I did take it out of the box and have a look at it. Seems like a sturdy unit. Will report back after I get it mounted in my helmet and have had a chance to road test it.

    New Jacket

I bought a new riding jacket today.....After trying on a ton of different jackets I went with the Olympia Dakar Duel Sport Jacket... http://olympiamotosports.com/catalog/dakar-dual-sport-jacket/ Not really the type of jacket you would first think of for a Rocket rider but I wanted a multi...

    Bee Sting

I was out for a ride on my bike last night when I stopped for a red light. A stinking bee or a wasp stings me right in the throat in the small gap between my jacket and helmet. Turns out I am allergic to the sting....barely got myself home before I was big time swollen up and could hardly...

    Rear Shock Preload Setting

I have left my 2014 Roadster rear shock's preload setting at the middle (3 of 5) setting that the bike was delivered in. I weight 235 pounds and only ride single. I have found that the bike has a firm ride but that over frost cracks (sorry for the strange term for the Australians!) the ride is...

    Discounted Triumph Leather Jackets

I have been thinking of getting a leather jacket for some time. I see on the Triumph site they have and used to have some nice jackets but the pricing is top $$$. Whenever there is a clearance posted on the site they never seem to have stock. Has anybody got a good source for buying a Triumph...
