    Not bad I reckon!

ive been fortunate enough to have experienced the German culture and European living for the past 3.5 years now. As I just finished up my last big trip, figured I'd look back on how much I've gotten to see. The first picture is where my rocket has been the second is just me with or without it...

    How far?...

how far do you reckon it's safe to run on fix-a-flat? Woke up this morning to a nearly flat back tire. Gas station didn't have air, but had a can of fixaflat. Put it in, 60 miles later found air. Seemed to be holding well. Cut my trip short and am headed home. But still have 300 miles to go...

    My next triumph!

So I'm in Zaragoza with a little free time this evening walking around. I find a small plaza closed off. It's an antique car show and lo and behold they have my next triumph ;) Of course the cobra wasn't bad either! To top it off I spotted a rocket in the wild. He was turning his beast (black...

Started the prep for the kit install tonight. Many thanks to @warp9.9 and @idk for loaning me some tools. Gonna honor Scott's request and wear the go pro tomorrow as we start the grunt work and try my hand at posting some how to videos for this one (assuming success ;) ) No video tonight, but...

    Looking for Route suggestions

Looks like I'll have 3 solid days in the Pyrenees in late May. Anybody have can't miss road recommendations? I'll be in Normandy area for 4 days then heading to the Pyrenees and returning back to Normandy. Any routes between there would be great too. Planning about 600km/day for nice relaxed...

    Traction Control Braking

For those of us with pre ABS-era bikes :D I'm ordering the TCB banjo bolts to give them a try on the beast. While I've learned over the years how to use this bike's brakes pretty well under all conditions, I'm still not confident I wouldn't lock and slide the rear out in an emergency. The few...

    Any special tools required

I'll be starting the install of the update kit in about two weeks. Just wondering from anyone else whose done their own, are the any "special or specific" tools I'll need for the job? Would rather start tracking them down before ripping the bike apart if I can! Thanks in advance.

    ABS

May be a dumb question, but is it possible to "add" ABS brakes? The back locks up way too easily on my classic.

For Sale "Free" to good home

Spring cleaning! I have a set of stock pipes and the cat crossover off an 07 classic, and a set of used tors (3 pipe system) with no crossover, free to good home (just pay shipping costs). The stock pipes are clean (no scratches/dents). The Tors I'm not sure about, but think they have a few...

    Sharing my Pride

As most of you know, I'm an American GI living here in Germany. We've absolutely loved our time here and our Deutsch friends have been a big part of that. Our landlord has pretty much adopted my wife and I, and though we're not patch wearing members, his local club, BikerBoyz, has been kind...

Big ride this weekend...start changes on bike tonight?

My PCV/AT just arrived in the mail (thanks Todd)! Hanso's already been kind enough to send me his table v2. My big question is, do I start the install tonight? I've got a 3 day trip (about 1500 miles) scheduled through the Alps this weekend. Not knowing what it really takes to install it...

    Is that Triumph a Toy?

Should be a very interesting weekend! There's a big Alps ride in Edelweiss here this weekend and I'm sharing a room with a complete stranger. When I talked to him on the phone last night, he asked "Is that Triumph a toy, do you have a Harley for the ride?":eek: Apparently he'd looked at...

    Angry Screen

New Angry Screen with custom paint courtesy of Evil Bob (Chris) Also got the TORs and crossover installed. Hopefully, the screen will put the wind over my helmet (I'm not too tall ;)) If not, I may be asking for details from those of you who raised yours with different spacers!

    The Rocket and the Busa

I've read a few threads on here regarding the Rocket, the Ego, the Mancard, the Busa, etc... Had the chance to ride today with my Deutsch landlords motorcycle club. It was German Father's Day and that's how we spent it :D A few things worth mentioning: 1) My wife was invited too and turned out...

    I love Sundays

Finally got the first half of work completed on the beast and took her out for a nice long ride yesterday. It was sunny and 70*(19C) yesterday here in Germany and took full advantage of it (about 5 hours worth of Beast Bliss!!!). Four things of note: 1) The 1770s and secondary removal along...

To join the Dark Side or Not?

I've read a lot of the threads on here about the tires and I appreciate everyone's points of view. Most of my riding here is done on the twisties alone and with groups consisting mostly of Triples, BMWs, the occasional HD :puke:(usually street rods), and as my footboards can attest to, the...
