  1. Darwin at work

Thanks for posting the link to that Moscow vid, Hanso--holy crap! I thought for sure the dude wasn't going to make it past that 18 wheeler/car sandwich--that was tight. Got to admit it was fun to watch (and, like mentioned, a great way to show the old lady what a safe rider I am in comparison)...
  2. Spark Plug gurus take a look and tell me what you think

    272 km=169 miles 17.16 litres=4.65 gal I calculate 36.34 mpg. You aren't twisting the wick hard enough, BigAl ;)
  3. Moms and Rockets

Thanks for sharing that, bq. It was a good reminder not to put off spending time with those you love...
  4. new bike

Welcome from sunny SW Florida. I'm sure you'll be enjoying your beast up in the hills of ND.
  5. A new kind of motorcycle

Dayummmm!! All that power from a 138 pound engine...Now that's impressive! A bit too much for the street, though. Wonder what the quarter mile time for it is?
  6. Hello Riders

Good to have another rocketeer in FL--welcome from Fort Myers. Yeah, make sure you need the EB kit on your Roadster-I've heard that they took care of it on your beast.
  7. Fla. Drivers

Ok, now I've got it (I'm a bit slow...)
  8. Fla. Drivers

    Ahhh...I think.
  9. Fla. Drivers

Hey scot--It may be obvious but what's a blue hair?
  10. Fla. Drivers

Anthony, I've lived in many places, from California to Connecticut, and I'd never seen worse drivers than on L.I. (I grew up there) until I moved to SW Florida...you and the exiled scot are right, FL is loaded with brain-dead Qtips and cell phone yapping twits and twats (especially now, during...
  11. ANYBODY install the Gas Tank KNEE PADS?

They were already on my '06 Classic when I bought it 3 years ago--they haven't started peeling anywhere and I like the look. Haven't used them to grip the tank or anything like that--at 5'8" my knees don't go that high when I'm riding...:D
  12. Lowering the RT3

I just went with 1" shorter shocks and it worked for me. Going to be cutting the spacer in the fork tubes--haven't yet and I've been fine so far with the slight change in handling.
  13. Check these pipes out

I'm with you, bones. Great sound but the machine guns have got to go...that kind of useless bling reminds me of spinners on cages. No thanks.
  14. HI Guys

Welcome from Fort Myers, Florida...try to keep your arms in their sockets when you go for a blast tomorrow. And +1 on posting some pics sometime (if you can pry yourself off the beast, that is).
  15. Cruise Control

Sorry, just noticed the post about the dip switch settings...Glad I checked, as the cover was missing. Easy to cut a piece of plastic for a new one. The switches are all down (off) except for 5 and 7 (on). Hope that helps. Now to cut some plastic...
  16. Introducing Myself From East TN

Welcome from SW Florida, Shotokan. Had a couple of Wings in the past, a '75 and an '81, and was itching big time for a Valkyrie Interstate, but I found the Rocket and the itch is gone. Maybe the Roadster would be a better choice than the R3Tour, since you are keeping the Valkyrie Touring. Once...
  17. Cruise Control

Hey Mittzy- Like I mentioned, the ccontrol was on there when I bought the bike, so no credit to me for the switch clamp. When I have some time I'll dig into the setup some more, find out what type of speed pickup I'm running and post some pics. All I know is it's as reliable and rock steady as...

  19. Cruise Control

No Jesse, I meant I looked everywhere on my R3 and didn't find a storage tank. The rest of the unit works perfectly without one...
  20. Cruise Control

Sure does look exactly like it, except I don't see the handlebar mount. I'm guessing the PO who installed this fabbed it out of aluminum billet. I'm not a machinist, but it doesn't look like too big of a job. Looked everywhere and can't find a vacuum storage tank. Like I said, works great, and...
