I don't know if this is the place for this post, but some of you may remember Bill Zeigelbein (BILLZ). I am sorry to say that he was killed in an accident riding his 08 R3 in Sturgis this past weekend. Bill lived in Lincoln, NE as I do and I would see him from time to time. He rode to Eureka...
I was just reading the new issue of Cycle World, and they have a rather lengthy article on the new T-bird. I had to laugh when the Triumph spokesperson was talking about the EFI system on the new big twin and said "We've learned a lot about EFI in recent years and we don't need a second...
After hearing the Nautilus horn that some of you had at E.S. I tried to find one locally here to no avail. I did however find the exact same horn at Harbor Freight, branded under the "Big Boy" name. I compared the horn to the photo's on the internet and its seems exact. Also it's made in Italy...
So I'm out riding today with my lovely wife Jennifer on the back. We're enjoying the sun and two lane blacktop, when suddenly I hear the all too familiar rattle of a Hardley V-2 pirate ship coming up from behind. I twist the throttle a little as he comes around to pass. Traveling about 70 mph in...
I just received and installed a new throttle lock that is really cool. It took all of 3 min. to install and it matches the left bar end so that it looks stock. I will try to paste web site.

I see that the KC riders group is planning a ride up to my back yard on April 22. I would like to meet up with you guys if you'll have me. I know of a couple of good places to eat, drink, and be merry, if I may suggest: Round the Bend steak house is only about five miles from SAC museum on old...
I have been looking at the Jardine or Mad Dog exhaust systems. I really like the way they both look especially the jardines with the header. I am running TOR's now and they don't really have a mellow throaty sound, a little harsh and raspy to me. If anyone can give me some advice on what the...
Its been a long old winter, but I got the R3 ready to go now that the sun is out again!!
The wifey and I are planning on a little ride down to Eureka Springs Ark. on Memorial day, and was looking at some routes to take so I thought I would ask you Missouri boys if you knew which way we should...
Hey, anybody here going to Baxter Cycles' open house the weekend. I am going Saturday, it's only about 120 miles from me. It would be nice to shoot the poop with some of you all! (Poop??, did I say that?).
I've been tinkering with the ole R3 lately, trying to get the idle fixed. I did Tommos' reset of the base idle and reset the TPS. I set the base at 750 RPM which the shop manual says it should be and set the TPS at .6 volts. I also installed a PC3 which smoothed out the throttle and got rid of...
I'm Danno and I have a 2005 red R3. Bought the beast a year ago and put 10000 miles on it so far. I live in Lincoln, Nebraska and so far as I know I am the only R3 owner here so its nice to talk to other folks about the machine. I have an auto shop and been bustin' knuckles for 25 years. My wife...
Since my last post on my idle issue, I have had my R3 back to a different dealer who had the bike 2 weeks and replaced the stepper motor. I knew from reading the different forums that it was most likley a temporary fix, which it was. The bike is worse than ever now, it dies at almost every stop...
This is my first post on this forum, so excuse me if this problem has been addressed. I have had my R3 for 10 months and have @8500 miles on it. I had the TOR pipes and CAT bypass done, and the richer tune done (not sure which one, the dealer did it). About 1000 mi ago I started having trouble...
