Ceramic Front Bearings for an 08

Can anyone point me to a vendor that makes Ceramic front wheel bearings to fit a 2008 standard? I suspect these would fit all non Touring models, pre 2020. I guess a generic specification of the front bearings is a good start. Anyone have that info? Thanks in advance

    Fuel Tank front hold-down bolt

I've been looking here, mentioned in a recent post: Replacement OEM Parts for 2008 Triumph ROCKET III I cannot find the hex-keyed bold that holds down the tank at the front. Anyone have the part number or a web site they can find it on? I've nearly stripped the thing and would like a spare.

Want to Buy Solo Seat for 2008 Standard

I am looking for a stock Solo seat from a non Touring rocket from 2005 to present, which should fit my 2008 Standard. I don't need the pillion. If you have a spare one, please PM me.

    Corbin f'd up

I ordered a Fast Gun and it arrived today with the lock pin 3/4 of an inch too far back. So seat is unusable. FEDEXis picking it up tomorrow and back it goes for 'repair'. I am not thrilled with the idea of them doing surgery on the seat pan to move the pin. But I don't really have any choice.

Oil leak under head gasket on a ROCKET 2014

I had this problem on my 2008 standard. It was fairly common and known by my very experienced Triumph dealer who fixed it. Don't let your dealer's lack of experience deter you. Make them fix it under warranty, or find antoher dealer that has a clue. They should be able to look up past service...

    transmission issue

Getting first gear to engage from standstill as you describe is common. Happens off and on. Learn to live with it. If you are popping out of 2nd under hard acceleration, you need the upgrade kit. Search the forums for 'Upgrade Kit' (without the quotes. don't forget to answer the random...

Popping out of first gear saga

This dealer did my upgrade kit. Not in your area, nor in mine(Central NJ): Hermey's Triumph BMW 69 Center St Port Clinton, PA 19549 (610) 562-7303 They did it for free on my 08 Standard, but I was still in warranty. The upgrade did solved the 1st gear pop out. One side effect for me was...

    Adjust Brake pedal on Standard

Is there any way to adjust the rear brake pedal on a standard? I want to lower it a few inches. I can't keep my right foot straight on the peg because it touches the pedal. Real pain in the ankle. Doesn't look like there is any adjustment.

Pics of my Givi E41 hard bags

Full profile is the least flattering angle, I think. I used easy brackets and custom made support brackets. The custom brackets bolt to the bottom edge of the bags, and then to where the passenger foot pegs were. They open in half, like a clam shell, and have lids with a keyless combination...

Adjusting Shift Lever to lower position.

I have a Standard Rock with pegs, and I have to lift my foot off the left peg to reach the shifter to downshift. It's a real pain in the ass. Has anyone experienced this and adjusted their shift lever downwards to compensate? It looks like I can loosen the locknut and reposition the lever on...

    Trim for Cut down Bearclaw

I've seem several members' cutdown bearclaws with what looks like a press on nylon bead trim to cover the actual cut down edge. Can anyone tell me what this stuff is called and where I can get it. Just did the Triples and Tuneboy. I have a spare claw and need to finish her off. Thanks.

    Corbin Seat Question

For those that have the Corbin Solo seat for a Standard Rocket: I've read in old postings that the Corbin seat does not use the convenient quick-release mechanism with the ignition key as the stock seat, but bolts to the bike. Is this true? I also recall someone retrofitting the...

    Wheel remove/replace Questions

I removed the front and rear wheels for tire replacement, and I have some questions about putting it back together. Thanks in advance: 1. The inner brake pad on the rear caliper is hanging by the rear pin; the front of the pad just dropped down from the caliper. Is it supposed to just push...

Dealer reinstalled rediator cocked to right

I recently got my bike back from the dealer. They repaired damage after a nasty crash I had last Labor day. Over $8500 in parts. The radiator is not on straight. It sits further toward the rear on the right side by about 2 inches. (or maybe the left is too far forward?) Did they leave...

    Persuading D&D's into position

Need some install advice. I have a used set of D&D 3 into 2 pipes. The 2 pipes seem not to be slid onto the Y pipe far enough by about 1/2 inch, and the bracket that goes onto the footpeg mount is too far back by the same amount. Yes, obviously, slide them on more. I have no experience here. Any...

    Wheel Alignment

I'd like to get new tires as cheaply as possible by removing the front and rear wheels myself and taking them in for mounting the new tires. Is there anything special the dealer would do when putting the wheels back on to align them? Is there an adjustment on the bike to make sure front and rear...

Ignition or injection cutout @ 2500 rpm

This morning, about 5 minutes into a long ride, either the ignition or the injectors cut out 2 or 3 times around 2500 rpm for a 1/2 second or so in rapid succesion. The bike was not fully warmed up, but I was not at full throttle either. I took it very easy for the next 10 minutes and the...
