    2010 Roadster Ecu wanted

Well if you buy a new one you will have to bring the bike to Triumph dealer (or cowboy with Triumph diagnostics software and cable) to get it unlocked and map loaded. If you get a used one then you can trust the seller has the right map on it or load the right map yourself with TuneECU. I'd be...

Yeah you have to swap parts over, the Bendix on the 17610 is different.

You can either pay for the Android version of TuneECU to use on Android phone or tablet, or use the legacy Windows version for free with a laptop (I can email it to you)

    Crankshaft Question

Nah both generation Rockets, the 2300cc IIIs and the 2500cc 3s, are both 'normal' 120° cranks. Only a few newer Triumph models e.g. Tiger have used the T plane 90°/180° crank so far

    TPS or stepper

I'd invest in a "Triumph" cable from Lonelec.co.uk and a new primary TPS.

    TPS or stepper

If it's a 04-09 era Rocket and the TPS was never replaced then there's a good possibility it is the prob. Do you have TuneECU? First thing to do is a TPS / ISCV reset, see if that improves it. Also worth a squint at the numbers in the throttle balance screen upon startup. Also spray WD40 in...

    Crankshaft Question

I think the real reason Triumph developed the T plane crank was because it starts with a T. Now they have pioneered triples, their trademark engine config that also goes with the word Tri-oomph, and they have a distinctive new crank which is named with a T for Triumph.

Happy days, you might be good to go now. Are you certain there is not also a 2nd device in the lists, that represents the cable? Example; Also when connecting to bike, remember the Windows TuneECU can be a little slow to connect and green light. Also, it should be automatically this way, but...

Did you 'expand' all the device types, by clicking these > arrows? A new device or 2 should appear under a couple of them (e.g. Poorten, Universal Serial Bus, etc), when cable is plugged in.

I don't have a cable to hand, so cannot make a video or screenshots of 'exactly' how it works, but this is the gist of it below, from memory. On the laptop, type in device manager in this box It will appear up here so just click on it This is Device Manager, a list of 'devices' currently...

Aha, hmmm it might just be the cable is the problem here. I have the Triumph cable too, but not tried it with TuneECU. Not sure if it will work. I'm away from bike too so can't try. I do know that the TuneBoy cable will work for TuneBoy / TuneEdit AND TuneECU, but the TuneECU cable will not...

I wonder would you be best to get the Android app TuneECU, and an OTG adapter for your cable to connect to your Android device. There will be no messing with drivers, and connection to bike is practically instant. If you really want to use the Windows version, you can do the drivers thing with...

If you plug in the cable to the laptop only, after opening Device Manager first. Doing it this way means when you plug in cable, the device(s) that appear on the list belong to the cable. Ensure the drivers are ok. Best to update the driver by pointing it to the folder in which all those...

Can a Rocket III take down the establishment, and rule this island

So I finally got a weekend at the bike, but somehow managed to go backwards in terms of progress. Got the AEM reg above fitted and set, all perfect, and moved to on to fix a weep of fuel from the OEM banjo under the tank. Of course no matter what I did the leak is still there, think it must be a...
