    I hate key fobs

They'll need to do the pairing, since it requires the diagnostic tool (or equivalent). But it should take less than 30 minutes. It'll still start with a dead FOB battery, though. The Rocket's system doesn't have that issue. Harder to lose, break, or forget in the ignition. You can just hop...

    I hate key fobs

Regarding the smart vs passive keys: If you have at least one key of either type that's paired with your Rocket, you can buy and pair additional keys. You should do that, so you have a backup. I keep my smart key in one pocket and a passive key in another pocket. That way if a key breaks...

    Soft rear brake after recall

Probably coincidence. Hill hold only temporarily holds pressure at the rear. It doesn't manipulate the brake, it only keeps the pressure supplied to the rear when you squeeze the front brake when certain requirements are met. Plenty of us use it with no rear brake softness. Though if the rear...

    Soft rear brake after recall

The online service manual has it, as does the searchable PDF download of the service manual on this website under Resources. It's first mentioned on page 1,075 of the PDF.

    Soft rear brake after recall

It's in the manual. It's the sequence of procedures listed under ABS Modulator replacement/refitting. More specifically, the back-bleeding procedures. There's no special diagnostic tool required.

Lost fob key on high speed

There's no need for that, though. As long as you have at least one of the three keys, you can simply have replacement keys added. In the U.S., the smart key is about $220. If you lose all three keys, then you need to get a new ECU.

    Failure during manufacturing...

If you have the gear position sensor leak, the wind from riding can blow that oil back onto the starter, swingarm, etc.

Lost fob key on high speed

I can test it, but I should think that as long as you don't kill the ignition you should be able to restart it. That would also explain why the ignition doesn't turn off as long as the bike is moving. It may turn off entirely if you wait too long while stopped, though, as it does if the...

Lost fob key on high speed

To address an earlier post, the AI summary is wrong about the bike seeing the FOB as you approach, at least for this model. When off, the motorcycle only scans for the fob or key after the ignition switch is toggled, after which it scans for approximately 5 seconds before either timing out or...

    Looking for Triumph Pannier

I've found it's easy to mistakenly think it's fully latched when it isn't. I applied 3-in-1 Lock Dry Lube to the mechanism, and now it's easy to fully seat it. I've also missed one of the three attachment points a couple of times but caught the error before rolling out. They're only rated to...

    Significantly less mass, for one.

US penner tune for 2022 r3 GT

Same here. Never had to do anything involving the cruise control. I suppose it might be necessary if they accidentally reset something.

    2025 Storm GT...leak by/near starter

Given the location, it's probably the same gear position sensor leak several of us have experienced. After removing the cover over the starter and cleaning everything up, I'd go for progressively longer rides and see if that's the source.

    Hill Hold feature

"Triumph has introduced electronically variable linked braking on the Rocket 3, whereby when you squeeze the front brake lever, the ECU decides what proportion of braking power should be applied on the rear, as well. This is primarily determined via speed, weight transfer and lean angle, leaving...

Flat head screw on radiator cap

Mine was also mangled trying to remove it. Horrible design. They're M3 x 20mm. These are a direct, superior replacement: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HBN0X64?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 I also applied lubricant to the threads of the new ones, to aid in future removal.

Just place it between the two bumps under the left side of the tail. No battery needed.

    Succion when opening gaz tank...

The noise could be the tank either sucking in air or expelling air. Most people with the issue seem to experience the latter. If it's expelling air, it's due to a high-pressure condition in the tank, so likely a pinched/restricted vent hose or possibly an issue with a valve (roll over valve or...

    Hill Hold feature

I do something similar. It makes it easier to turn on my camera and put on my gloves while on the sloped driveway, when I forget to before getting on the bike. I never use it for its intended use, but it's also very helpful on a slope when I need to use both hands or where I drop something and...

    R version with GT pegs?

Heat isn't an issue on the GT because it comes with wider heat shields, so if you go to GT pegs I'd strongly recommend getting the GT shields, or else it will be an issue. I can't speak to the handlebars, since I have a GT with both the GT seat and the R seat, but I can say that when I have the...
