Finally able to press out the bushings and axle with the help of this guy. Next batch of parts will hopefully be here Tuesday.

New upper and lower seat but they're from a modern Ural so will need to be creative in mounting it. New windshield apron but I will try to restore the windshield and frame that came with it. And a bag of suspension bolts/bushings. Sadly no mount kit yet which is what I need first.

DMC mount kit showed up. A touch disappointed that for the price it doesn't come with 2 down rods or half the bolts but I'll make it work with extra fab time. Weld on clamps also need work as they're universal and have plasma slag. But the other metal pieces are very nice and quality looking hardware.

I've been quite remiss in working on this. Grief has a way of sucking out all your joy and energy(my wife passed in Oct). I have the seat mocked up with a cheap set of brackets from Jegs. Just need to drill and permanently attach.

sorry to hear about your wife can not imagine what that would be like hopefully time will make things a little better.
i like your project good luck with it.

They said sure we can make the parts you want. Parts I want, it doesn't fit?!?! Well they show up and not only did they send me the incorrect bolt sizes for everything but neither bracket fits at all. Not the first one, not the second missing part that was supposed to make it all work. I don't understand all the positive things I've read about this company. Even after drilling out all the mounting holes and removing both powder and metal from the front mount half absolutely nothing aligns. This kit is crap. Sent another email asking WTF. Not worth a dollar let alone what I paid for it.

Got it set up for lower seat. Decided to make it a quick release Dzus fasteners so I can swap it out from dog bed to standard base but no bracket is permanently attached to sidecar so should be more comfortable for puppy. "New" DMC beacket has shown up but I don't have the energy to see if I'm going to be disappointed again.

I enjoy following the build projects and skills of others.
However, close-up pix only do not allow the uninformed viewer to gain any perspective on what they are viewing.
Pix that display the entire area, as well as close-ups, will allow the viewer to identify and understand what they are looking at are crucial.
Just sayin' . . . keep up the good work!
👍
