I am hoping someone can assist me here.
I have an R3T, 2017, and purchased a Healtech GIpro ATRE G2, gear position indicator, the GPAT-TO2 version which, according to the Healtech website is the correct model for all year versions of the R3T.
Installation should be fairly simple.
However the electrical connectors on the GPAT-T02 have 3 wires in line, and unfortunately, they do not match the connectors on my bike.
Tracing the wiring from the physical gear position sensor, on the left hand rear of the engine, to the connector behind the left hand plastic cover with the 2 Torq screws, leads me to a square 4 wire connector. This does have a black/pink wire on the bike side and when disconnected does prevent the green neutral light illuminating on the dash, all as per the Healtech installation instructions, so I am pretty sure this is the correct connector on the bike and I cannot find any other connector on the bike that matches the 3 wire connector that came with the Healtech unit.
Am I missing something here or is it possible that the last batch of R3T'S may have different connectors to the earlier ones.
Healtech have GPAT- T01 and GPAT-TO3 versions that are recommended for other rocket version, ie the original Rockets and the Roadster. Does anyone know if these HeaLtech units have square 4 wire connectors.
The Australian distributor that I purchased the unit from is adamant that they supplied the correct unit for my bike, and I agree they did supply the GPAT-TO2, I am just trying to work out the cause and solution to my specific problem problem.
Can any T3T owners out there who have successfully installed a Healtech GIpro ATRE G2 provide any guidance or suggestions ?
Thanks

I will try to help till someone with more knowledge comes along.

The early ones had three
Wires they changed to four latter on
If it is not the correct connector then u have the wrong gear position switch.
@Ishrub might help with years and parts numbers.

I can flick part numbers all day long and shall post a site's images but I am no electrical guru like @DEcosse who has advised that he has other missions/ tasks that only allow him to visit infrequently these days. He could tell you exactly which plug to purchase and from which supplier.
If you cannot nail it Herman, my guess is it is likely to be a connector plug style/pattern change with the introduction of ABS to the R3Touring in MY2013. When a similar change occurred with dual headlight Rockets in 2009 switch to ABS 2010 on versions, a similar change of wiring electrical connectors occurred, as did another during the earlier period around 2006 when they upgraded a bunch of stuff on early models.

Another common error by aftermarket suppliers is assuming that all dual headlight Rocket III's are the same from 2004-2018 and worse still there are many who state their part will fit all Rocket IIIs including R3Tourings too! This can be linked to similar misconceptions clearly correctly here by Richard recently about RIII 'Tourers' and R3 'Classics' with further confusion by those assuming R3 'Tourers' are R3 'Tourings'
As others have said, the Classic Tourer was a short lived model released only in 2007. A lot of people like to call the Touring a Tourer but the only actual Tourer was the 2007 Classic Tourer and it had a silver engine. The Classic variant was released in ‘06 along with the switch to the a black engine. The touring package was then put together in ‘07 and was partly used to offload left-over grey motors.
In 2009 Standard models were also offered with a touring package (screens, backrests and panniers) to help run them out ahead of the Roadster launch in 2010.

Parts may be shared by other triumph models (even t/bird quite possible or error on the listers part)

For Aussie buyers they will deliver but hunt locally first.
Postage should be cheap if they just put it in an envelope for you. They will post to Australia.

It gets very confusing to all and many errors appear online but the first eBay listing I posted 2010 T/bird had a plug that may fit the earlier oblong connector. The later eBay listing T/bird one is definitely same as your 4 pin square plug.

Thanks for your assistance everyone.
It looks like Healtech have made an assumption that all the R3T's are identical, when it looks like the GPS has changed at some point from a 3 wire to a 4 wire.
Their gear position sensor GPAT-T02 would be correct for the earlier models but the GPAT-T03 is required for the later models, as is the case for the Roadster models.
Another example of accessory manufacturer confusion.

when you buy a gear selector switch kit now it will come with a 4 wire plug but also an adaptor with it to connect to 3 wire harness. when you look at parts you can get just a switch or a kit which has the adapter harness connector with it but same adapter, I believe unless you find old new stock somewhere a 4 plug is what comes from triumph supplier now. 14 &14same switch 14 has the harness to connect (cost more)

an early model will not work even if u have the extension because the part that goes into the case (motor) is different.
i had to clean mine up to make it work.
