Hi everyone from VA

Well....got er home from the dealer 1/2 hour ago. Trying to track down a set of ramps, it's stuck in the back of my truck for now. Will post pic;s here soon.

great to hear that you got her home. knew you couldn't stand waiting.

sorry but i don't have any ramps.

get her sorted and we'll have to get the local Captains together. I'm sure we are all eager to see a new roadster.

To bad you don't have a ditch in your area that you could back the truck down inot so with the tail gate down it would be like a ramp and roll right out. Could luck I hope you don't scratch her up getting it out.

Thanks,

I bought a set of ramps at Lowes, all went well.

Well, took my first ride this morning (yesterday was my first time ever sitting on one) to see If I had made the right choice. All I can say is goooooooood byyyy HD, Say hello to my little Rocket III:cool:.

After my ride, I started doing my adjustments cleaning and some mods like removing the reflectors/the stickers on fuel/oil tank, and removed the secondary throttle plates.

Went for out for another run to see what this beast had, yea removing the TP’s does make quite a big difference from the start and on a roll, before it was as if something was holding it back.

Still looking for those Predators, send three EM’s to travalguy, but no response back??? Does this guy does ever respond back???

When and where does all get together?? If it is nice tomorrow evening, I will be up at VA BBQ for their cruise-in.

mirrors swap

Byron Keep the round mirrors there small but they don't vibrate at high speeds like the triumph tear drop ones. I have them I will swap them with you if you want? I have the ones with the holes in the stems!!!
you can see **** out of the tear drops above 120mph:evil:

warp9.9,

I will take you up on your offer on this swap if it is still ok???

Welcome!

Bryon - nice looking Roadster! Can't wait to see it in person. I live just up the road in Dumfries. Am out of town on business the rest of this month, but look forward to a RocketIII get together in June, hopefully! I put Jardines and Tuneboy on my '07 Mulberry RIII Standard. There are more tunes than you can shake a stick at available for download on this site, thanks to Pig9r and others, so if you go the Tuneboy route, no matter what exhaust/breather setup you end up going with, I'm sure you'll find a tune to match.

Just got back from 378 + mile trip to the beach with my Roadster, this thing
handles far better than my previous HD Dyna FXD/V-Rod/Sportster/Street Glide, the power is just plain fun for a cruiser. Trying my best to stay within break rules, it very hard to do, did do some minor acceleration from time to time:D, changed gears and speed every chance I got , but no hole shots/burnouts/or racing to redline.

Some things that I found that I could complain about.

1. Is it normal to have to double clutch to get this into first from neutral?? About 75% of the time I have to do this.
2. Is it normal when down shifting that it goes into neutral instead of first gear?? It’s like I have to put more effort to get into first from second gear, no binding or hard to get into first, it will go into neutral 75% of the time.
3. No complaint, never road one or heard one in person but there is like a whirring or wrrrrring noise (sounds like a Pete Jackson gear drive in drag car) that emanates from the right side of the motor, it has done this from the first day. Is this normal???

Bigfoot390,

Have a small Toyota truck that I hauled it home in, a freind of mine came over to help me off load it. He's got a HD Elektra Glide.

warp9.9,

I'm sure it is all good, I may paint them satin black? Not sure on that yet, here is my phone number and EM 571 228 4794 bmuller10@verizon.net
