Owned my 2010 Roadster for seven years now. Researched a battery that was not only 270 or 310 like the present offerings because lets face it. You can change ground wires starter motors and the beasts will still fail to start in colder weather.
I found a lithium battery that fits perfectly and costs only 214 dollars Canadian to my door from Amazon with specs that blow away the others,
Look for a Scremower 680 cca
I have used it for only 3 months now so reliability and longevity are not proven.
I tested with a carbon pile load tester and at the same load the battery voltage was about 1 volt higher than a fully charged 320 cca battery .
Starter motors I believe are rated at 9 volts or so because with witing losses and the heavy current demand they usually see far less than the nominal 12 volts spec
And so that increased voltage makes a big difference
Engine starter spins effortlessly. Might be worth a try especially for modified engines with higher compression. Good luck.
