Serendipity strikes again! '38-'39 Ford lamps lead to a needed score.

I followed a glimpse of a pair of cool looking teardrop tailights with a spare glass lense on Gumtree and found a treasure trove. I thought these would look cool mounted in hard panniers.
They were described as possibly 1940's Ford. Au$70 (US$50) seemed fair to me but he had already declined 5 offers since listing in 25/03/2016.
I paid the price asked and now they have arrived brand new in collapsed old blister pack with cork gaskets etc. 5.5" long and 2.5" wide... perfect.


Arrived today in great condition and the brand name on the lenses helped me ID them on US Ebay as

I picked up a new T1180099 - DOG RING SPLINED for Au$20 and new T1180061 - GEAROUTPUT4TH for free earlier, so nearly have everything required for my project bike's blown transmission.

'38-'39 Ford lights with matching teardrop headlights seems to be common custom car item so plenty of options for replacement lenses and gaskets, rubber mount pads etc.
Even LED versions that may be handy for Rockets even possibly retrofit LED to stock fender lamp.
We have had a thread looking for LED replacements for rear taillight before that @barbagris and @1olbull were posters so I just posted it there.
