Hi,,My rocket roadster clutch is on its way out,,slides on full power,,engine has been dynoed at 200 horse, and desrestricetd fully,so I,m guessing if I,m going to rebuild clutch,,it may be wise to upgrade springs friction plates etc, etc,,has any one done this,,any tips would be appreciated,i have a full workshop with all tools, any idea on estimated time for strip down and build. many thanks ,Tim

oh yeah, many, we have a clutch master here on site, you tube has benni breaking it down, but i can help a little w the simple stuff. Some use a barnett kit, Some use the triumph fibers and steels, some mtc and I believe they even made a billet basket for the clutch master I mentioned above. (He explodes them oh yeah) some go ebc and others, at 200hp a built bike no doubt like you have will need heavier springs, carpenter, mtc, barnett in there kit popular choices, sometimes they do away with the anti judder and just go with a regular fiber first in. I went with a Suzuki hyabusa kit (160usd for both fibers and steels @schnitz racing) as these fibers and steels are sometimes used by carpenter racing on rockets they have built, (well one as the invoice was posted on parts) hope this helps, if you wanna really learn from the pros search with the magnifying glass and the clutch gurus will spool you up and get you ready to go fast. Ride it like you stole it, obviously you are good job. What year is your roadster? Show us some pictures and more info on this 200hp monster of yours. Cheers

Hi Kev ,,thanks for info,,Ive just ordered barnett clutch pack with heavy springs, Its alleged its a 8/9 hour job,so not to bad.Bike was set up by previous owner who races production Benellis,,and had this as a sunday morning toy,,she had a host of upgrades,,then had it completley remapped at TTS in Siverstone in Uk,,she ws giving a healthy 200 brake on dyno, i read other bikes have way way more, but at 200 shes a handful on our windy roads in the uk,,any more ,I think would just be too much for fast road work?? or maybe my reactions arnt what they used to be?? She,s my second Rocket,,my first was 06 triabal blue,,this ones a 15 plate roadster, and I,m delighted with Her,the only way they could make these better is by giving them longer legs in top,,maybe its me,,but I,m always looking for a 6th gear when cruising,,she just seems to be revving a little to much ??

Well youre in luck, meet @R-III-R Turbo this guy made what you want and has one for you too im sure, and he strokems for ya too! This place is a go fasters dream

After upgrades the stock springs were a joke. Pads and steels looked fine. Since i ordered the complete kit installed it. I like the pull with the Barnett springs it is not over done. Now sitting at 67,000 miles and have nor expect any issues.

So has anybody made a definitive statement as to which replacement clutch is best for taking the punishment of 200+ HP and racing activities ? Something like the 4 clutch spring comparison ?
