Triumph and BSA came out with the Trident or the Rocket before the Honda. I believe it was faster but had reliability issues. At the time "to little, to late"
 
1978 K model 750. Had a strange looking exhaust. Two into one crossover. Cost a pretty penny. Last year of the single overhead cam. Had a lot of good times on that bike.
 
Fell in love with the CB750 at 12YO when it was introduced in 1969. Worked my but off mowing lawns and finally got a "real job" at 16YO.

It was my 3rd bike, but my first "Big Bike". 1974 bought brand new at 17YO. $2265 out the door with accessories, tax, tags and title. Paid cash.
