Triumph Rocket 3 R
Hello! Im new on the forum and im picking up a red 2020 Rocket 3 R the coming week. Very excited and glad to see there's so much nice work being done by riders on this bike, from exhaust to rear modifications!

I just recently bought some US drypack bags for my thruxton and haven't found any information if it's possible to mount them on the Rocket 3. Can anyone check if the straps could be attached to a frame under the saddle (behind riding position, obviously :D) and/or any convenient location for the tankbag-adapterwhich needs velcropads at the far back of the tank (almost under the saddle) and frames in front of the tank for another pair of straps. Maybe someone is already using this combination? :)

Thanks a lot & ride on!

The Kriega kit is very adaptable and should have no issue mounting to the rear seat, it will require a little creative thought on your part but I can tell you for sure that if you utilise the fixings currently
Used to hold your pillion strap in place and there is also a fixing point that will take a bold and anchor towards the rear which I believe is used for the triumph tail bag.

these points can have mounting strapfixed to them and provided you make them king enough the Kriega alloy hooks will attach easily.

Yeah I also think it will fit one way or another, especially in the rear. Thanks

I’ll be mounting a us 30 over the weekend so I’ll let you know how it goes.

Cool, thanks. Can you also look and see if theres a convenient mounting point for the tankbag-adapter? anything to tighten the straps around in front of the tank that isn't connected to the forks so I still can turn :D

Yes I’ll have a look but for what it’s worth I would be careful mounting a tank back as the scratch the **** out of your tank, especially with a fitted and semi perm mounting strap, **** gets underneath it and rubs!

Yeah thats true.. i have a US30 and a US20. I think the 20 han be attached on the 30 also. Might be the better solution

By far a better solution, I ran for years with a 20 and two tens on my previous Rocket and on others before that.
