Rocket 3GT
Hi hoping to pick my GT up in the next week. My thoughts are now turning to lifting the bike for cleaning, tyre changes etc, and wondered what lifts you guys are using.
I was looking at an eazyriser big blue lift.
They do a dedicated lifting kit for the 2300 but not at present for the 2500, so I would probably have to adapt from their standard beam kit.
My question being has anyone come across any other alternatives.

Hello Gibbi and welcome from Virginia. I have not heard of any just yet. I know my dealer has the cool king of lift with drop down front and back for tire changes; something I hope to get someday. So far I just have the standard scissor lift for the R3T.

Please go to the "Introduce yourself" thread and let us know about your bike history. Many riders all over and probably not far from you, meet up and rides are arranged here as well as mechanic help when needed. Good luck with your new bike and we all look forward to see it.

Hi Boog, until I pick up my R3GT I’m still riding my Xdiavel S and I have an abba skylift to work on that, unfortunately it won’t work with the rocket hence just exploring what others might be using.

That is a cool design and I wished they made one for the Rocket as it appears you'd have lots of room to move around and work the bike.

Are you keeping the Diavel or is it a trade for the R3?

Trading the diavel I’m afraid, but looking forward to the rocket it’s been on order since the beginning of the new year

My friend, owner of Ural bike, gave me advise how to lift motorcycle without any accessories.
He took some steel square tubes and welded them to make a frame, which mounts into holes for central stand with 2 bolts.

Then we went to garage and took some wooden blocks (oak). We mounted our frame in central stand mounts and put 1 block under right side of it. Then I lifted up the bike from another side by my ass like bikers do it after crash and he put second block from another side. We did it until the wheels were in the air. But the last bike lift was very hard for me.

After removing front wheel I could lift up the tail to work with rear part of motorcicle become more comfortable.

I wanted to buy a specia lift jack, but it's no need in it now.

I made this out of 2.25 black pipe, have about 20.00 US invested , pending on where you place it you can lift front or rear.
That’s definitely effective thanks. I’m looking at getting the bike a couple of feet off the ground to make it more accessible for cleaning servicing etc. I’m aware there are four jacking points under the sump, so once I have the bike I’ll measure things up and adapt something from there. I’ll put some pictures up when I get it sorted.
