2020 Rocket 3 R 15 Rocket Roadster
Has anyone run the new Rocket against the old yet.... just curious?

My roadster was Very aggressive in acceleration and the new one is far more refined... my feeling is the new one takes it over distance and the numbers would seem to prove this but straight off the line over a short run I’m not sure! It just feels so smooth its deceiving!!

Not yet but raring to try it.

I've still got my 2014 Rocket III Roadster (for now) and as soon as the weather improves, I'll be able to compare it directly to my 2020 Rocket 3 GT!
I would be interested to hear the results... loved my roadster and it hoofed itself forward with more or what felt like more abruptness and with the new one being so smooth I feel it cons you into thinking that it doesn’t accelerate as hard... I’m sure it does though.

Evidently the new Rocket does the 0-60 in under 3 seconds. Actually around 2.8 or in that area if I remember correctly. Has anyone with an older model Rocket made it under 3 seconds? I don't think any that haven't been heavily modified could make it under 3 seconds. That and as barbagris stated without traction/launch control it would be difficult.
Now that is with a highly skilled rider on the bike I doubt anyone on this site has the skill level (maybe Art) to equal that time

I doubt the old one stock will touch the new but it feels like it would..... it’s just so much more aggressive in its delivery!!

Reckon the new R3 will hit 60mph a shade quicker than the old RIII, due to its higher rev limit looking like it'll do 60mph in 1st whereas the old one must shift into 2nd to hit 60, costing it time.

Old RIII might "feel" a bit more arm-pully due to it making peak torque significantly lower in the revs.

Also wonder how my 2.5 would do vs the new 2.5 o_O around 160hp / 182tq vs 165hp / 163 tq ?
