I am 6'5" with Looong arms (38 1/2"). The setback on the stock bars is tooo looong. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I have been looking for Drag Bars that might help. I also would like to a slighly narrower overall spread.

By the way, I just installed the new Triumph dresser bars and short hwy pegs. Very nice.......
I was reading some posts about the stock bars being too flimsly and Rivco was the best choice. I disagree. These are solid.

Thanks for any help on the handlebars issue.

Good to know on the engine guards. im looking to install a set this year and am partial to triumph parts. So this is good news for me.............now if you could upload a pic that would be great. Im not sure anybody has a set of the "new" bars with a pic up yet.

Thanks mutt

I'm guessing you were referring to the R3T ?

How about these ?

The Triumph dresser bars are very very sturdy. Better than some aftermarket ones I've had on other bikes. The top mount is actually a long bolt through the motor !

I sort of wish I had longer arms. The stock bars, even with the Rivco risers are still a bit too far away for me.

I read on some other post about Thunderbike bars on a Rocket. I suppose any t-bar would work. Lots of options out there.

Crazyman, just hijacking the thread a little (I'm allowed to do that coz I'm 6'8" with looooong arms), that looks like a day-long seat. Please tell me it's a great seat for the Touring, coz I have just sent mine over the Good Ol' US of A to receive the Russell treatment.

Tried nearly all the options (except for Corbin which people either love or hate, so I didn't want to take the chance), and no luck with refoaming, Airhawk, gel or anything else.

ps......Can't help with the bars coz I've got 12" Burleigh Bar mini apes, but they are wider than stock at 39". Absolutely perfect for me.

The complaint that Triumphs engine bars being flimsey was refering to the older, previous parts. They used to be pretty thin but the new version is much better, much more solid.

Also, what kind of price did you have to pay for the Triumph bars and pegs? I'm trying to get the dealer to make me a deal I can't refuse.

Anyone know what the diameter of them is? I also want to look around for highway pegs. If you have a set you like, tell me what they are.

I'd like to get a set that have nicer looking mounts than the Triumph "pipe-clamp" looking version.

Triumph Dresser Bars and Pegs

Take another look at the Triumph Short Hwy Pegs. That "Pipe Clamp" you mentioned is much more than just a clamp. It is the cleanest setup I've seen for mounting the pegs. Not only is it sharp looking, it is solid, easy to move and the chrome is work is quality. The problem is that they are pricy. In this case you get what you pay for. I will take some close up pics when I get some time. The pics crazyman sent are great. Very nice bike..........

Sorry can't help you on that, I have the "adjustable" highway pegs which fit pretty well and are...well...adjustable.

Hellfire, I do like the ones I currently have, but I also have the Kuryakin ones and they worked well also, just liked the Triumph ones better...because they were, er, uh...you guessed it....adjustable.

In my photo album there are pics of the new Triumph "dresser/crash" bars with the adjustable foot pegs on them. But Crazymans pics are a good example of what they would look like on an R3T.

Are all the Triumph OEM bars 1-1/4" diameter, or do you have a choice of different sizes?

I was looking around for peg styles and am amazed how much some of them cost .... by the time you ad up the mounts and pegs, some are **** near the price of the bars.

Pics of Triumph Pegs

Sometimes closeups don't work but see if these help. Be patient, these are my first uploaded pics.
