(4) 1k’s in 10 days. Hammer down

I took this picture last weekend when I took my R3T in for new tires. This is the Exedra Max front tire with 13,300 miles on it.

I guess im stupid and an idiot, i have done a few 1000k days, tha last one, last june when i went to Sacramento to get my rocket, rode 1060 miles before i stopped to rest, the only reason i stopped is because the storm had me trapped but i had a little more juice to keep going for a couple hundred miles more:D

You are the exception my friend as I have told you that before. What made my ride so maddening was the traffic on the coast. Just the stress of trying to pass on two lane roads mile after mile. That is why we took I-5 home and still took 2 days as there was a sandstorm from Bakersfield to Fresno. I looked like Nancy Pelosi after my sand blasted face recovered. To this day I still don't shave the left side of my face.:D:D:D:D

Thanks for the tips guys. Im not so worried about the miles as I've done long days before on slower more curvy and rough roads. I was most worried about tires as i normally only get 5k tops on a set of front and rears. For this trip ill probably get a set of noise canceling head phones to cut down on the wind. Ill keep you all posted but the trip will be in the first week of June. As for tires i have always used the metzlers but i am considering a different choice.

The new cruisetec by metzler is getting great reviews, it’s oem on the Indian challenger

Wow revzilla has nothing for tires right now.... but i did get on jp cycles and noticed the Metzler 888’s are now in OEM sizes. Thats pretty sweet. When i had my thunderbird i got the commander 2’s and they were better then the 880’s but the 888’s are supposed to compete with the commander 2’s. I wonder if this is the way to go? The avon chromes are just as pricy and i cant find the michilian road 5’s any where...? Hmmm. Any one running the 888’s?

Now that there is a beard I wanna see on the beards thread!

Doesnt sound like fun
I agree with ya, but being a combat vet I bet he flicks a finger at 1000 miles in the saddle and come June 1 I will be thinking of this vet twisting it all the way to his brothers and smiling he’s not taken fire in some god forsaken land but riding across our country where we hold him in high esteem. Give it hell JeRome
