(4) 1k’s in 10 days. Hammer down

Since you don't mention your age, physical condition or how many 1K days you've done before,
my advice is ill informed.
Don't do it.

That falling asleep at 70 mph thing won't become a habit because you'll only do it once.

you will know your limitations.....your body will tell you when to stop....loud music in your ears keeps the brain awake...stop and hydrate often...piss...walk around...go hard....keep things good and tight like allen bolts etc...Exedra max rear and cobra front will last best...do it!

Your tires will be fine. Make sure you know your route and probably carry tools, water, food, and appropriate clothing with you. You will hit several climates along the way depending on time of year. Biggest tip is to read the iron butt tips

IBA 25 Tips

The Iron Butt Rally is 11,000 miles in 11 days; your 4 1ks will be training

When I was 25 myself and a friend rode from Concord Ca down to Santa Cruz and followed the coast all the way to San Diego. Me on my 79 HD FXS and my friend on a 80 Yamaha Midnight Special 850. It took us 15 hours and 600 miles all in one day. I still remember how horrible I felt as we pulled into San Diego. It was brutal and something I would never do again. We took two days coming home. We were stupid but not idiots.

Well you covered it for him right here, all suggestions plus some in one place, nice post to a big question

This iron butt riding means a lot to me,not that I won’t to do it but my brother who passed loved it. He’d say, junior today we rode 800 miles, not a problem except them **** KW emblems (kenworth trucks) in your rear view mirror, they didn’t speed, anyway i always smile when iron butt rides come up, I may iron butt to raa west in his honor this September. Thinking of my big bro putting down miles might get me through

I guess im stupid and an idiot, i have done a few 1000k days, tha last one, last june when i went to Sacramento to get my rocket, rode 1060 miles before i stopped to rest, the only reason i stopped is because the storm had me trapped but i had a little more juice to keep going for a couple hundred miles more:D

Yea but putting things in prospective picking up a new ride that's totally acceptable visiting my brother would rather have 8 days of riding 2 days visiting(nothing personal bruv):laugh::laugh:
