Castrol= Was once recommended by Triumph I believe. Excellent oil , I prefer 15-50 , find transmission shift to be smoother.

Yes it is. 5 weight scares me. I'm even hesitant to put in my new Honda car that calls for 5W/20. I put 5W/30 in that car.

Zero weight oil is like finger nails on a black board to me. SCREECH .... No Zero weight oil will ever get in any of my engines.

I've been running Castrol Edge European full synthetic formula 0W-40 in my BMW X3 since I bought it. I'm at 102k miles now, no oil consumption or other issues.

I've only used Castrol 10W40 4T since new. Just changed the 70K mile oil yesterday with it. It seems to be good for all year riding as far as I can tell.

I've not seen any posts on Shell advance 15w50 fully synthetic says it was produced for ducati wandering if its compatible or advisable to use it, I've always used the castrol 10w40 its really hot round these parts and upon reading this thread I'm lured to the seduction of the 15w50
