What did you do to your Rocket today?

Fixed Up my Rear Shock Adaptors I made when I changed over to Gazi Shocks.
I made them out of High Tensile and Black oxided them . While the bike was in storage
over my heath and various issues the last couple of years they had gone very rusty.

Just acid washed them and gave them a good coat of paint Looks a bit neater now

Added some side lights and relay, rerouted some wiring to a ignition switch connector, unfortunately one of new lights was defective, not having a good week :)

I stole lamonster's Plasti-Dip'd clear sport screen idea and redid mine.

I was originally going to remove the decal, vinyl wrap it in gloss carbon fibre, and buy a new decal.

It never occured to me that spraying it from the backside would look as good or better and have better protection - no chipping or scratching vinyl when removing bugs.

I decided to try and match the red stripes and that was a bit tough with the compound curves.
I also screwed up and used a fibre cloth that had TLC on it to clean up the stripe areas before spraying in red and the Plasti-Dip would not adhere.

I ended up cobbling it together rather than starting from scratch and it's good enough. Maybe I'll redo it at some point now that I know it will work.

That’s looks kewl

Took off the rear tire so it could go to the shop and I could get one without a hole in it. In the process thought I would take off the rear drive unit (pumpkin) and grease it up. Putting the shock back on broke off the screw in the pumpkin. Just before it broke I was thinking something is wrong as It seemed I had tightened it enough. luckily it came right out and was easy to drill and use an easy out. I am glad the stock bolt was aluminum (or crap metal or something) as it was easy to drill. Got a new bolt and using my smaller torque wrench 28nm seemed just right. I was sweating for a while as the pumpkin even on ebay is a lot of money. Have not had the bike very long and already snapped 2 bolts.
