TFC...prefer more growl

It’s a for point, I still like a decent rumble but some I’ve found to be nothing but noise, “all fart and no sh1t” I was disappointed when I got my roadster as she was very muted but the new one I don’t mind!
Fair point not for point!! How do you correct posts?
 
If you are after "growl" - keep an eye on te Italian exhaust mfrs. For whatever reason they seem to be able to push VERY borderline pipes through Homologation fast. Zard was an early supplier for the original R3. So who knows. But be warned - They do not generally add Performance these days - often quite the reverse.

BUT I would wait until you know exactly how the cat system works. Euro5 is/was supposed to be a dual lambda (before/after cat). I have read there is a moratorium on this - 12-18 months. Also it is supposedly a CLOSED LOOP permanently under "x" thousand revs. 5000rpm rings a bell, but don't quote me. This has NO moratorium.

This will mean it could be almost impossible to remove the cat without substantial ECU mod's - I know on some Euro5 bikes that not even a Power-Commander works as the Lambda's cannot be bypassed. The bypass plugs cause ECU errors.

I don't mean to be a killjoy - but the days of monster loud pipes maybe a thing of the past.
