It’s growing on me!

....you know that feeling you used to get when a new girl came on the scene who was that little bit xtra than the ones you were used to.......thats how i feel about this bike....just want to keep going back for another look...
I thought you were gonna say you just want to mount it then leave it in a ditch!

Congrat's @Mark Graham, here's wishing you many miles of happiness!
It's going to be nice getting reports from actual owners.

I think I'd leave the bike there if the shop owner asked me to (especially in the winter), but then I'd make sure he remembered I did if/when I needed something sorted on it. A little good will with the dealer can go a long way.

That's correct. I bought the first R3T sold in the Phoenix area and the dealer asked me to do the same. I left it there for a week or so. Developed a good relationship with the dealership over that time and years later when they were going out of business they gave me several oil filters, several gallons of oil, and a couple sets of brake pads. Not a bad investment.

Rode it home a whopping 9 miles Thursday. 57 here Thursday then started snowing Friday. Want to ride it more. It does feel smaller than the original rockets. Notable items: lighter, torque is noticeable at all times, very smooth and comfortable. Hard to comment on more as it was a short ride.

I have read that others compare it to a speed triple on steroids. This seems true.

The dealer asked me after the ride how it compared to my Indian Chieftain. Of course it is in a different category and is not as comfortable as the Indian.

They also asked me how it compared to my 2005 Rocket (210 hp carpenter kit). Told them that the 2005 would eat it for lunch.

Compared to my stock 2015 would be a different story.

My GT is at the Triumph dealer in Des Moines. Saw it, started it and sat on it. Didn’t get to ride it. I was totally impressed with the quality and design. To me it is an extremely good looking bike. They wanted to keep it until next week to show it off. Little quiet but I know in the future this will change with a different exhaust. Can’t wait to ride it. Does anyone know if the inspiration package is available. I would like to get it once I can find it.

After you ride your new Rocket let us know how it does on the back roads in the twisties. That's what I'm interested in. As much as I push my 2014 Rocket it doesn't compare in the twisties as my 1981 Yamaha 1100 did. Now in a straight line and long distance the Rocket wins out every time. Good for you, have a blast.

Dealer has posted pictures of the R and GT they just received. Both had the ugliest turn signal indicators you could ever put to a motorcycle! They look like led lights but large enough to be extra headlights. Are all US models equipped with this? Shame you have to spend 22 grand on a generally nice looking bike and then have to spend hundreds more to rid the bike of the hideous turn signals.

I was nervous about mine when I saw those hideous indicators on the US bikes. Am in Australia and we got the slim ones thankfully! Phew! Not sure why the US ones have these round huge ones. They really change the overall sleek look of the bike. Not sure if there are some regulations around it?
