Back Ache

Shame you are not close to me as I would let you borrow my Corbin seat for a spell, Corbin seats are brick hard -the stock seat is designed for someone after a hard night in a SanFran night club.
The seat was the first thing I changed back in 2005 and never regretted it, in fact, the same seat has now been on my three Rockets.

Adding cruising pegs helped me on long rides. Just remember not to wait until you are uncomfortable to move your feet. Adjust your position often, and you will be comfortable much longer.
Thank you very much I am going to order a set

Low back pain, in most cases, has underlying poor use of body and sitting postures. All of the ideas here will help. For me, back rest, cruising pegs. Removed the Rivcos to get closer to the tank and yoke.

Sit upright at all times, avoid bending, specially in the morning and, let someone else perform most if not all your lifting.

Read; "Treat your own back" by Robbin McKenzie, BRO. Learn how movements and postures contribute to or relieve your back pain.

Oddly I did something similar with pegs behind the footboards. But fixing the seat so I could not slip forward and slouch was "the cure".

Tried the peg behind boards... No space however, got rid of the heel shifter and can use the back of the board to place the forefoot.

Hello @M.J My lower back issue may be different than yours. I misaligned my L5/S1 spine years ago (1990) pulling a big man out of the pool during an emergency. It did not heal correctly and I am avoiding surgery at all cost. Then in 2001 on a helicopter jump into the water, I fractured my coccyx. If I slouch down, I have pain from the tail bone injury and if I stand long, especially slightly forward, my lower back aches like heck. So posture is of the utmost importance for me as I do ride as often as I can and a 12 hour ride is not out of the question.
I have found that the rider backrest is the best bit of kit by far for me. I do have the cruiser pegs but they end up putting pressure on my coccyx as I put my feet forward.
