Have you considering applying auto "U" shaped edge protectors to the fenders & tank? I really like the finished look.
They come in many sizes, colors and quality.
Some people may be concerned with dirt getting under them or rusting but if you get good quality ones that seal well and
optionally add extra water sealant at the sharp bends and keep them clean they'll be fine. Its cheap, so you could also replace them every few years.
Here's my black bike with chrome edging but I'm replacing it with gold soon:

No, but that would probably look sharp too.
I already bought the gold trim to match the gold chrome accent wraps I did last year. I can re-apply the chrome or try red if the gold looks bad...
I'm using the stuff from Autozone but I've seen some on Amazon that have metal ribs that look like they would bend around sharp corners better.
