Hey Rocketeer's,

Do you that have the Roadster windscreen get any buffeting and
if so, at what speed?

Thanks,

Have tried stock, tall stock with lip and Windvest. The Windvest is the best. 14x16 or 16x16 work well.

I have been using a large screen for almost 2 years, I do get a slight amount of buffeting but only because I have been too lazy to trim it to suit.

I have had the R3 well over the ton a few times with no issues.

Never have had buffeting with any of the shields I have ran on many bikes I have ridden well above the ton.
But then, I always set my shield height on line with my seated eye height to a point on a level road surface 50 feet ahead of the leading edge of my front tire.

I will get a bit of buffeting at times, esp when driving into the wind. I think most of this is due to air coming up under the shield. Lowers would probably stop this. Has anyone had any success with the Laminar Lip?

I'm 6 ft.

I had the stock screen for a while and now have the sport screen and a full-sized one made by clearview shields
Clearview Shields

It's an improvement, but not night and day. I'm only 5'5" but I do experience buffeting somewhere above 60. It may come from the sides around the forks, not sure. I don't like the way the lower guards look, but I'll bet they would help a lot.

I had a BMW R1200RT with an electric windshield (ahhhhh) that would put you in a pocket of still air when raised. Triumph needs to figure this out.

I have all of them and if I'm going to use a non aerodynamic screen it would be the summer screen which is a hard to find bugger.
That being said two years ago I decided to try a long trip with just the fly/sports screen style. It's much better then I thought and I haven't used either wind screens since.
