Hi all, I have a 2004 Triumph Rocket 3 which has just blew out the final drive unit.
I'm wondering if it's pricey to fix, costly, time consuming and where parts would be available. Especially in Australia.
Any info would be great!
Thanks

Welcome from Florida USA your best bet is to look on eBay .Easy to change out

They come up on eBay, just gota be patient. Also check Pinwall Cycle Parts. Just make sure the splines will match. What failed, the male or the female spline or was it inside the gears? I think 2004 to 2007 cross match, then it changed. You might need the shaft and final drive. Disassemble before you buy.

Hey mate thanks for the heads up I uploaded a photo there is a bigger hole underneath as well. So it was inside the gears

Yep time for a new used one. 2009 standard and classic and the limited classic tourer, will have the same driveshaft splines if yours is still good. Otherwise roadster one's you will have to have the drive shaft. Absolutely no Rocket Tourinings. As the pitch cone angle will be different.

Found this located in your part of the world.
Its from a classic so don't know if it would work on yours.

Good price, and I sold my NOS pre '09 silver alloy version to suit your early bike and all Standards, Classics, 'Tourers' etc up to 2009. Note the 'Tourer' is just a loaded Classic and is not a R3Touring narrow rear wheel model.

I am pretty sure the Roadster 2010 on version is same as that used on the 2008 released R3Touring.
The 2010 on Roadster versions are black. Not sure if all Touring versions are silver alloy or black though
