Looking for Battery Experts

GOODUN!!!
I thought it serious and was yelling, "WTF!" as I opened it.

I've been going with YUASA batteries for awhile now with good results. I have a phantom draw on the Rocket that without the battery charger it drains down within a week of sitting. If you compare Harley batteries with Triumph batteries the Harley battery is twice the size. If you ask me Triumph dropped the ball putting that small battery in the Rocket.

In general there are 3 options.
1. Any lead acid battery even no name. Cheap - you can change it one time per 2 years or so without any significant damage for your pocket.
Advantages are that the type of battery dies slower in case of some electrical sort of problems with bike. Disadvantages: output is weakest of all available batteries.
2. AGM battery. In fact it's advanced technology of lead acid battery. Initially developed by Varta and then produced by others. Stock Yuasa is AGM but double in price to Varta with no advantages of it :) AGM gives more AMPs at start so it's good. Because of it's construction you can hardly get shortages of plates in any case. AGM is most of bike manufacturers go for.
3. LiFePO4 battery. The new one (10 years already in fact). Gives best AMPs! Could be easily charged by 2C current (meaning 40A current for 20 Ah battery !) which is really cool in case you drained the battery and needs to have it charged fast. This type of battery doesn't loose capacity permanently when it's half charged for a long time. That's significant advantage to any lead acid batteries as well. Not so important for Rockets, but the weight of LiFePO4 batteries is 3 times less or so compare to lead acid ones.

For RIII there is one more benefit of some LiFEPO4 batteries. Due to some of 20A models made with universal applicable terminals it's have not 1 pair of it but 2 on each side of battery. So we can easily connect some additional circuits to it.
So for RIIIT Skyrich HJTX20HQ-FP is an option or it's WPS version (in fact it's the same battery) WPS 490-2525
