It appears BikeBandit will not have an available rear tire replacement for me any time in the foreseeable future due to the recall. They said Avon is not releasing or producing anymore 240/50-16 until they iron out their problem. Without going into a long drawn-out explanation from Avon and BikeBandit on what I need to do next I have a question. What other tire brand (other than Metzler) would go with my front 150/80/17 Cobra chrome. Something that has similar performance as the Cobra Chrome rear. Thanks

Well that's not good news I also just bought and had installed a set of Chromes on my bike. I actually haven't checked if I am affected by the recall but odds and Murphys law are that I am.
 
@warp has mentioned Bridgestone battleax I believe and he’s a hooligan so must be a good choice also, as the exedra max which I run on touring model and it’s a good one, v rated tires both.
