Re the Jardines.. I used the original gasket on the headers but doubled up. The fit is straight forward but i didnt tighten anything until i had everything in place then methodically went around slowly tightening things. The header bolts i retightened maybe three times after riding the bike a few times cos they leaked around the flanges initially...after that they settled down...good luck...it's really straight forward.cheers.

Cool I think I will tackle my exhaust, just remember I bought all front and back barbarians and washers thinking at the time to get some one else to do it, because I remember some one on this forum told me if I'm going to take the ties off and get them powdered coated all that stuff needs to come out so should just replace, so I did order all the stuff ,just looking at it now , now way now lol

This is all the stuff dealer told me to buy if I want to do it , Wich they also agreed

I think when I get my bike all back and finished I'm going to be nervous to ride it being all new lol thinking about it now I could I might of could of afford to buy a new Rocket lol

Man, too bad, I recently tossed a set, they were rusty and I offered them here with the caveat that they would have to be coated or rechromed, no takers, cost of recoating plus postage would have been high
Say it ain't so. How long ago was that? How'd I miss that? I'm getting teary eyed.

I didn't post a thread, but I mentioned it over the years, I almost had one taker, but the delivery didn't work out. I retired and am moving and they had sat there for years, getting rustier in a barn.

There is one on YouTube posted by @TheWhingnut. It's very helpful although I have decent shop close thats not too into sex with me. So I let them handle it.
@CrzystghndKC Thanks for the promote! i have not unfortunately filmed a video for rear tire removal or exhaust work. but they are planned for when i get back off cruise next summer / fall-ish. i have an oil change video and bevel box video up though.

My bad it must rolled to the next video or my old timers is playing with me.:D:banghead:

Holly crap I think I need video, any video of some one taking back tire off and putting back on?

hey I am no mechanic and yet I managed to remove the rear wheel for putting a new tire I read carefully ralsmith procedure and it is right on totally.. follow step by step and you will get there .. I just add to remove the axle you may need a long wooden dowel to push the axle out so make sure the wheel/tire combo is supported properly mine was sticking even though covered in grease and I used a spare axle to push it with a plastic hammer
