Its been a while since I have posted. The LAAM seat has lots of miles now and I can only say I am extremely happy with it. The comfort level has gone up a few points as the seat has broken in and become a bit softer. More the leather than the seat foam. I did a quick run this morning with the Corbin Fast Gun solo seat, came back and put the LAAM seat right back on and went out for about another quick 50 miles. The LAAM is far more comfortable. The Corbin is great when I really want to be a hooligan, but the roads are loaded with fallen leaves so no shenanigans today. The LAAM keeps me comfortable and a bit slower.

My newly recovered and rebuilt factory 2011 R3R seat arrived as promised today. I couldn't wait to give it a test ride. As expected it is very comfortable and looks better than I expected it to. I am very happy with this seat. I will be doing a 300 + mile ride and I will get a better idea of how much better my new LAAM Custom seat is. The fit is perfect on the bike. The front area where it meets the tank looks better than the original.

This all started because my wife hated the pillion. Now it is wider, thicker, softer and she shouldn't have a reason to want to stop every 30 minutes.

The process was simple. I sent the seats to Seth Laam in California, he called me to do an interview on how I wanted the seat and what I was looking for. The seat was back to me in about 3 days after the interview. The price was reasonable at $625 for both the front and back and shipping. I am very pleased so far.

A long term test is needed but I took it out for about a 20 mile rip and it is very comfortable.

And those are the nice and shiny used TORs that Dr.D sent to me.

So I have not put a 300-mile ride on this seat yet. But, or butt, we did a 150-mile ride this weekend and I am very pleased. More importantly, my wife (pillion) was extremely pleased. The seat gave me a great position forward, and lower while riding. Very comfortable. My wife says she could do a weekend on the pillion. I think after some wearing in she will be more pleased. I took it out today for a 50-mile solo ride and I am very happy with the comfort, seating position, and the overall fit. I am recommending a Seth Laam seat at this point. For what it is worth to all.

Forward and lower...was that your brief to them. As far as riding position what were you trying to achieve...I’m interested it’s looks great work.

# 1 I was looking for comfort for the wife. So the rear seat had to be wider, taller and softer. Seth nailed that. Then it was comfort for myself as well as moving forward. I have a 29" inseam so getting a little closer was good for me. He also lowered the seat @ 1 inch. It is noticeable to me. Seth nailed it. I would highly recommend speaking with him if you are thinking about doing your seat
