You seem to be highly educated on the topic, understanding all the technical information.

Please, enlighten us all on how a swap from iridium to copper fixed running issues for multiple users when that was the only part swapped.

I hope your anecdotal evidence from 6 (presumably different) vehicles is not your basis for surmising that iridium is perfectly fine for the R3...

I'll just leave these here:

Good thing those iridium plugs are specifically designed for LONGER LIFE and offer no other gain.

As such their a reduced diameter iridium tip on the end of a copper slug.

In all ways that matter the correct plug for both performance and economics is the DPR copper plug from NGK.

Standard Plugs - $15/set
Iridium Plugs - $54/set

Iridium's only last about twice as long (per NGK), so they'll never break even financially.

Ever since humans banded together as our only protection without speed, fur, armor, claws, fangs, venom - we nevertheless have powerful circuitry in our brains -- shared with cats and most other animals -- that when we find a pattern that gets us fed, we follow that pattern to the exclusion of all else. An independent third party might wonder at the pattern. The cat jumps on the counter, gets swatted with the newspaper, runs upstairs and back down, to find a bowl of food waiting. The cat will continue to be on the counter at the risk of the swat - amazing to read on Quora and elsewhere these cat owners who insist their animal has this or that ridiculous quality. Humans have the same pattern tendency - with no innate prohibitions - which is where patterns arise that we call evil. Jeffrey Epstein shared a base interest in the fairer gender, and found a way to exploit a segment of society in a way that produced endorphins in his brain, thus setting up the pattern, that was repeated to the exclusion of all else.

There is nothing fundamentally incorrect if someone wants to work their machine in certain ways, and if the way one works one's own machine produces endorphins that codify the pattern, so be it.

This site is full of creativity and diversity of approaches to challenges or perceived challenges (my bike isn't running - is an immediate challenge; my bike needs to go faster - is a perceived challenge). 'Tis rare that a pattern is so right, one must beat others over the head with it, or so wrong one must resort to the second person.

As the years have gone by -- these discussions come and go - often with great passion -- tires (car tires in particular), oil, oil filters, and yes, spark plugs.

It's helpful generally, not to get too invested on line, even when in one's own mind, what we are doing, is exactly right. We don't know how other people ride. We don't know what kind of fuel they have in their part of the country. We don't know what mods they made to their bikes. We don't know about their bank accounts, and sensitivity price points. We just don't know.

So we offer up views sometimes -- reception and reactions vary -- just the nature of the universe. We learn what we can, and set aside the rest, oh so gently is best. Please.

Buuuuut, they have the highest melting point temperature; tensile strength and hardness!
That makes them 'Super' just like Superman.... 'nuff said.;):D

There is an explanation on why iridium's work fine in some rockets and very poorly in others, it has nothing to do with them being iridium though.

Annnd unsubbing.

You guys are phucken funny :D

The way things are going I just want to see people before they dig my hole ;) so quit pissing around and lets enjoy :D
