New Rocket 3 Prices Announced

I've been telling my area factory rep for years we want a hooligan bike with 200+ HP blown somehow, a standard, a light tour and a Goldwing style cross continent touring bike with a matching trailer. He said there would not be a matching trailer. I took that as a hint. We somewhat got the hooligan bike in the TFC and the R. although neither makes 200+ hp. I guess at a stretch a GT with those little saddle bags could be considered a Light Tour.

Just look at all the variants that have come down the line on the 1200 Bonny series. Let's be patient but come on Triumph. If you build it ... we will come.

Since I travel light I think the small saddlebags are fine. Not ideal but fine. The pillion and rack can support additional items tied down. I could travel across the USA with that setup. They have washers and dryers in motels so it isn't a big deal. For those that want to take your wife or girlfriend then that's a different story. For a single rider it seems adequate. Heck, I would try the trip without the saddlebags and just use the pillion and rack for my clothing and things. We always want more but it's doable for me.

I thought this would be a good thread in which to post a pic of our own quickie69, taken over the weekend at a Triumph dealership in NC. Cameron is back at Raleigh-Durham observing the construction of one of the new General Electric engines for the Boeing 777X. He was invited to the unveiling of a new Rocket. He told me the look of surprise on his face was how easily it came up off of the kickstand. He said it felt like a 450 instead of a 2500cc engine, the weight being so low.
