I'm with you Speedy, use the right names.

This is why I hate the motorcycle aftermarket scene for the most part, everyone tries to obscure what they're doing leaving customers with a hand full of faith and hope they're purchasing the right part for their specific need.

I just had a similar exchange with another member, where I was taken in by the hype for a product, and he disabused me of that notion by a similar logic.

Thank goodness for folks willing to share clarity.

It's just called "Marketing". And they are a "Target Audience" not "Customers". Happily on the whole, despite having lost most of my olfactory capabilities - I can still smell "Male-Cow-Poo" at even trace quantities. I used to be quite good at induced inference :D

Call it what you want, buy I don't qualify that as marketing. To me, marketing would be showing two shock dynos comparing how much better the aftermarket ones are. Not saying Ergal instead of 7075 lol.

I may still order the Mupo setup, waiting on a response from off road on road in Texas first. The Mupo price difference is significant, and they come with top caps. The Traxxion setup is $650 more with tops caps.

I'm not looking for race suspension, just good adjustment range that spans from too soft to a little too firm, with correct spring rates. It's not a tall order lol.

Love it when you play, and share allowing us to experience vicariously much more than would otherwise be possible.

So start by asking what springs, and what pre-load there is. 1kg/mm with 30mm preload was SPOT ON for me. I'm mid 80's KG.
Damian at DMX calculated 130mm AirGap - I run slightly less and lost some suspension movement as a result.

The damping is indeed the thing. Between Maxton (who think Race) and DMX (who think MX) It was almost spot on at first try. Only 1/2 turn out.

You may be waiting a few days to hear from him. F1 race this weekend in Austin and the LoneStar Rally this weekend in Houston. Good chance he is away
