What did you do to your Rocket today?

Front brake calipers covers.

Hello - did these covers fit? I know they say Rocket Roadster on the package but I thought that was an error.

I'd pick up a set if they work.

I have these on the old one but Rivco discontinued them:

Looking forward to your Pilot 5 review. When you install you new CT, use a level to check and see how parallel to the road the engine is? Flat is stock, Ok. Leaning back is "malo" Leaning forward is Bueno.

Been riding narrower high profile 215/60/16.

Look closely and you will see a mud guard knot rubbing om the new tyre @ 35 psi.
Still breaking in and figuring out a good tyre pressure for this one.

Ouch. My 1st CT was a 245 GY F1 and rode best at 28lb but rubbed the drive shaft casing slightly on sharp lefts so it always had a shiney strip... Never noticed it when cornering.

OK, the new Riken Raptor 245/50ZR16 is installed.

Dang, it appears my real levels got sold by mistake (along with some other good stuff) in my estate sale a few years ago but I used my iPhone Level App
and it says I'm now .36 degrees 'down' in front so basically she is dead flat with the 150/70R17 Michelin Pilot Road 5.

That makes sense as this is my "Double Darkside" set up on the R3:

Rear lowered about 1" with Hagons plus .8" with the 245/50ZR16 CT = 1.8"
Front lowered .39" with shaved spacers plus .39" with triple tree trick plus 1.1" with reversed rear 150/70R17 Road 5 = 1.88"

It was love at first ride with the Road 5 and I already ordered a spare one.

It really helped a lot in the twisties and I'm sure it would have been an even better improvement with a stock MC or larger diameter MC rear tire.

My R3R has the 140/75ZR17 Avon Cobra and that too helped the handling. I noticed there is a 140/70R17 Road 5 so I'd like to try that but I'm set for the time being.

I'd thought about going narrower on the backend CT but I do 85% highway/country riding so I stuck with the 245.

At $92 delivered from TireRack I picked up a spare so I'm good for 2-3 years on both bikes.

No harm no foul, you’re ok that’s all that matters, ask pops

Hope Son_of_Dog is back in the saddle soon. I road sports bikes and sports touring bikes for 20 years before I got the rocket. first couple of days out I nearly lost the front a few times due to weight and the beast not like to slow down!. I plan a lot more now (which is a good thing). I also made the beast growl louder so that those about to ruin my day have the opportunity to plan (hear me coming).
End of day, coming off sucks, but if we come away ok, we get a little wiser.
