Ride
rocket three x
With the change in employment am now riding to work around 6AM. Traffic is something else. Instead of dodging critters and deer now am dodging SUV'S and Pickups. The cross traffic on Hwy 75 is insane. I have found that a quick flash on brights (JW Daymakers) gets on coming and cross traffics attention rather well. Especially the ones who like the rolling stops which i find very frustrating because your not sure if they see you or not. One quick flash of the brights and it seems to stop the rolling. Don't like being a ******* but two close calls last week have left me without very many options. Stop signs the last time i read up on them means stop not roll. Different riding conditions to say the least.

My new ride to work in Miami is an exercise in patients and a**hole avoidance... It has reinvigorated my skills at 3mph riding with my feet on the floor boards. I have to be headed out of the driveway by 0525 to avoid a major delay and the sweet spot for the return trip is 7pm; otherwise the 50 min drive home becomes 90 min. It's going to be an interesting couple of years. The joys of Big city Florida living...

My ride is pretty much open country but at 70 plus miles per hour watching a rolling stop is more than enough to make one very nervous. Am working south of Tulsa now and do not have to play in heavy traffic.

I dream of driving in Tulsa traffic. Come up this way sometime and spend a few hours in traffic.

You're right though in that you have to assume that everyone is trying to kill you.
