I’ve been disappointed in most motorcycle stock seat but the on on my Roadster is not that bad. I am shocked that it is not as terrible as it looks and feels when I first sit on it. It just does not give me the burn that most others have. I do use a small black sheep skin on full day rides.

I’m afraid the Russel Day Long might look odd with those fat azz wings sticking out.

Corbin can be hit-or-miss depending on the bike. Worked great on my Yamaha FJR and could do 13 hours straight. Not so much on my Valkyrie. For my Touring I got the long Haul seat and working great, however not perfect. I also use a Propad brand gel pad seat cover for the longer days on my R3T. Had a couple 8-hour days on it and been working excellent along with the long haul seat.

Hope you find something that works for you.

@1olbull - I can attest @Stillserving hit the nail on the head. Removal of the underseat plenum *without* plugging the hole in the stock air box creates an excellent draft off the engine under the seat -- most welcome in chillier times; not so much on summer days. For that reason alone I followed @Idaho Red Rocket 3 and @Navigator suggestions and ordered sheepskin covers from Alaska Leather.

I second @Tripps approval of the OEM Long Haul seat, with the rider backrest.

Corbin fast gun on my roadster and a Corbin dual tour on my '09. Both great seats, but I hated the mounting system on the dual tour.

I'll second that if it's the same as the Touring long haul, three Allen bolts, two different Allen wrenches, none of the bolts conveniently located, what were they thinking?

So from what I'm reading Blaine is the only one that added venting to cool his air box down? And supply fresh air to the atmospheric sensor still in the box ?
