What did you do to your Rocket today?

Decided to ditch the top-case today.

It was cheap and after a good few years service had started to be annoying rattly - and when you can hear a rattle despite wearing earplugs - it's terminal.

Just dropped the sissy bar back in - Just hope it has nor screwed up the handling (the case iirc cured some fishtailing) . A new one is not a huge expense if so.

In the past two weeks I:

1. Continued my tradition of going 100MPH at the moment the odometer clicks another 10K miles (luckily I slowed to the posted limit before passing a hidden trooper)
2. Replaced engine oil on the '05 Tribal with Amsoil + filter
3. Replaced Rear Drive Oil too
4. Went Double Darkside and installed a Michelin Pilot Road 5 150/70R17 rear tire reversed on the front of the '05 (Riken Raptor 245/50R16 CT on rear)
5. Rode 900+ miles DD - loving the new setup
6. Installed new contact lenses on the Tribal (I like the ones on my Roadster better but these will suffice for now)

Today I painted my '05's new front tire, installed orange reflective rim stripes, polished her up and took a nice leisurely 100 mile
ride and went to a Car & Bike Cruise night where they had a MC Dyno truck.

It was a Mustang Dyno & their numbers seemed high but here are a few results (in 3rd gear for 5 speeds and 4th for 6 speeds):

Ducati Diavel w/mods = 186.5 HP / 94.2 TQ
Moto Guzzi California w/mods = 103/103
Indian with 111 engine = 95/132
Ninja ?? = 211 HP / 95 TQ
Yamaha FZ1? older model = 150/90

My Triumph Rocket 3 - 2005 with 131,500 miles , K&N intake plus Jardines = 175.6 HP / 186.8 TQ @ 113MPH

The old girl is still running strong and hasn't been re-tuned since I put on a Hanso map last year.

People commented on how quickly mine got up to 6500RPM...

The weather channel said 0% chance of rain until 4pm today so I shined the Roadster up with the new "The Last Coat" TLC2 Ceramic/SiO2 nanotech blend and added their new AMP top coat and rode to the American Bikers Aimed Towards Education (ABATE) Hamlin NY Bike Show.

5 miles from the event it started to rain and never really stopped. WTF??

On the positive side, it kept the competition away and I was the only one entered in the 'Performance Custom' class.

An easy win but a little anti-climatic. My buddy placed 2nd with his 100th Anniversary HD Springer with six bikes in that class.

Here's a link to TLC info and discount if you're interested in learning more. It kicks butt over all similar products...

Welcome to The Last Coat™ The World's Only INSTANT Surface Protector!

Here is a picture of my two gals with back-to-back 2018 and 2019 ABATE Hamlin Bike Show trophies.

Those numbers Myers are a bit high. It takes quite a bit of motor work to gen an Indian to really make 130 tq.o_O
