Anyone have suggestions on seat options.
Rear on fire after 50 miles or so.
Saw a used Corbin solo on EBAY .

Thanks,

The stock seats are designed to feel great in the showroom or a short test drive. I have a Corbin solo and dual seat and like them a lot. They don't feel cushy, but actually more comfortable for longer rides.

I should add about Corbin- despite the comfort of both seats on my Roadster you do need to be aware of the many complaints about Corbin seats on this forum. The solo on my Roadster fits so snug against the tank that it is wearing the clear coat. It came with the bike, so waiting on an excuse to paint something other than black and will change then. The twin seat is hard to bolt on, as the bracket doesn't line up perfectly with the seat.

I had a Corbin on a 900 Trophy that may as well have been carved from wood- terrible.

I wish Sargent made seats for the Rocket.

I like the Corbin's on my K1200GT and Sprint, but the factory long haul dual tour on my Touring is the most comfortable stock seat I've ever owned, I never could justify experimenting with other seats.

If you're running stock air box, the constant flow of air that's being pulled in flows under the seat to feed it. Once you put Ramair or K&N pods on you lose that flow and I think it makes the seat run hotter. When I switched, I removed the under part of the seat that acted like an intake and went old school applying several layers of AL tape to help reflect some of that heat off my butt! Seems to have made a difference.

Great idea. Some of the sound proofing custom car builders use probably works fine.

RDL on my RIII. Note that it adds seat height - not an issue for me (6 feet 4 inches) quite opposite, but if you are short that is the only disadvantage of this design. Other than that it is fantastic saddle properly shaped for a Tractor from Hell.
