Heard a bit about Ram air but know little about it. I need to put a set of filters on the 2010 R3R ,either K&N, or even Unifilters. Does the Ram air breathe as well as others I've mentioned?
Predator exhaust to go into the R3R ,so breathing needs to be enhanced

Ram air only works with higher velocity riding. You need to do the ton before it has any real effect (air pressure rises inside the intake funnel with more speed). K&N's are a good choice unless you want to build a really big air box. The issue with air ingestion is the available volume. Inside an air box the volume is fixed, with exposed pod filters the volume is close to infinity (hard to drop atmospheric pressure on the planet with just the engine). So differential pressure is across the filter media only, not the media plus the air box intake scoop of a stock setup.

Mine tinkit da Hippo be talking about them thar Ramair filter thingos.........

Lushie reckons they're good gear.... and the latest versions have apparently fixed the earlier flange-cracking problems ... ( tho even those probs could maybe be put down to installation faults? )

He can sell you a kit if you want.

Don't think you'll go wrong with 'em....................

If you have the stock intake now and replace it with Ramair or triple K&Ns and use Preds
you need a new tune for sure.

Hanso has helped me out already with a modded tune for the Pred R3R combo . Thanks, Hanso . I'll get alk my ducks in a row with whatever filter i run with, then do the changeover to the Predator. The O2 sensor has to be removed i think, and a very small k &n filter on the breather is needed as well, from mammary of doing it before, years ago.
