I'm new to owning a Rocket Touring but had years of other bikes (last one a Valk) and always did my own maintenance. Is there a preferred way of lifting a Touring to get the wheels off etc? On the Valk there was an adapter piece that fitted under the bike to stabilize it on the jack. The jack I have is like the one in the picture but I haven't tried it yet under the Rocket so not even sure if it fits.

Slip these into the lugs on the base of the frame and you can lift it with the jack you already have. They are made by Taz (a member here) here in the UK.

Put the rear platform of the jack under these and the front of it will be under the front of the sump. Both wheels will be off the ground and it's solid as a rock.

Yep, as perds say those brackets are good and stable..But you might want to check the size of the diameter of the hole in the underframe as mine had the 8mm hole, most have the 10mm though...!

Also you might want to ask Perds and Owl about the techniques they use to avoid losing them along the highway. I think they both have a bit of experience in this area. :D

The Big Blue certainly looks the business. Where do the mounts go under the bike - do you use any attachments to secure it to the frame?
