Dyno setup at TTS

The roads were really busy on the way home but i did get the chance to open her up.....but only a little :D.

Yes the TTS headers would be a definite option but my tors are getting a bit tired and a replacement set of good tors are like hens teeth.
Must say i do like the look of a Carpenter sidewinder but have heard they are really loud ? And the UK government want around £400 import duty,
i am thinking they should wear a mask.

Since you have the classic with the boards or if you have the standard peg rails you will be disappointed with the sidewinder. As it will be a calf burner. Plus I think it will be heating up your intake charge. You'd be better off with their hot rod brute header. It goes well with the floor board position.

This picture has custom heat shields on it but you can get the idea.

Thanks for your advise.Yes i have standard pegs, could not really get on with boards.I have only see photos of the sidewinder so it difficult to
see just how far the headers actually come out.The street rod, again from looking at photos seem to be tucked in closer to the engine and
the pipes run straight back..The pipes on the sidewinder do seem to bend towards the front of the engine and close to the charge
pipe so perhaps an issue with heat.
I suppose the TTS headers being 50% bigger and because they tuck right close to the engine and heat shields would be the most sensible choice.
As much as i look the look of the sidewinder perhaps the street rod is a better choice,no heat shields though?

I roade a 06 standard with the sidewinders on them. Was very fortunate as i had blue jeans on. Well blue everywhere exceptwere my right calf muscle touch the header. So that spor was brown i stead of blue. Got nack told the guy to be carefull. He lifter his pant leg up and showed me the wound still healing. He said news flash don't get on a sidewinder pipe with shorts on. I said man thats going to be a big scar. Yep if it would have had a logo on it head be branded for sure. You should look into a pipe or header that does not loop forward. No sense using a intercooler to cool the charge and then run it by a hot header.

You can get universal heat shields to fit the Hot Rod pipe for about $11 each on EBay.

Was that the rev limiter kicking in or did the tech got scared and let off the power.

I must say this is the first time that i have had any of my bikes on a Dyno....It didn't sound like he was backing off at anytime.
So i would say definitely up to the rev limiter.

Thanks for the photos. My pegs are further forward but unsure that this will make a big difference.
I would really like to not fit heat shields but if heat is a big problem then i will have no choice.

I purchased a stage 2 kit and installed the kit myself. As anyone that has fitted a kit will know the instruction supplied could be better.
Must say if you were thinking about fitting a kit check out the sticky on here it covers everything. He helped me out loads of times.

Cost for the kit was just over £5000 can't remember the exact price...+ loads of hours...

The ride in ride out i think starts at £700.
