Taking the Roadster to France today

Loaded up with ‘her indoors’ too. First trip abroad for the both of us and the Roadster! Watch this space! :)

Remember the autoroutes in Brittany are free - goes back to Queen Anne in 1470something or the other...or De Gaulle... or the fact that the autoroutes there aren’t really autoroutes but dual carriageways.... but whatever the reason, there are some top dual carriageways through France which allow you to avoid the tolls... we go regularly to visit the outlaws in Orleans and family in Nantes on R3T and apart from the bit of autoroute exiting Calais towards Normandy, Brittany etc... we avoid them completely. Let me know where you’re off to and if I can will let you know the nicer ways to travel around.

You use the 'N' routes/roads. Used to drive trucks throughout France/Belgium/Germany. The 'N' routes basically shadow the 'A' (autoroute or Toll roads) roads paths but are free and certainly, a little more scenic!
