2017 Rocket Roadster
Hello everyone. I just officially joined here, but have been stalking for several years. I have been eyeing a Rocket for the last 10 years, but was finally able to snag one last week. I went from an '84 Goldwing to a 2017 Roadster and couldn't be happier. As many of you have often pointed out, I already have a list of mods I want to do, but they'll have to wait a little until I can save up some money. I love the wealth of knowledge here and am looking forward to being able to finally join the discussion rather than just dream about owning a Rocket.

Hi Puma and welcome to the forum from the British Isles. Nice bike, nice find. Now get saving 'cos you just know you want spend loads more money making her your own!!

Welcome that is a great bike.

Enjoy the miles.

What mods do you want to do? We love spending other peoples money.

One of the first mods I'd like to do is to adjust the foot controls. I have arthritis and it's really cramped. I have been reading on forward controls (a lot), using classic rails/controls, etc. I found a thread here that discuss fabricating or some items that are now discontinued. Forward..but not to forward I like the idea of having some ability to adjust rather than just the FC17 forward controls. Does anyone know if I can fabricate a some rails like the company from Germany used to sell; how hard it would be to move my controls onto it? Or should I just keep looking for a set of rails and everything from a classic or standard? I would love to move the controls down at least an inch and forward 3 to 5 inches. I'm only 6'2" so not huge, but I still need to do something. Thank you for any input.

I got the bike off Craigslist from a guy in Havertown. I'm actually from a little north of Philly so my commute is on 422, but I'm anxious to ride up into the Poconos to find something more interesting than just highway. It still makes my daily commute so much more enjoyable.
