We have to do MSF courses periodically to prove our proficiency.

Fine with that.

I lost my basic course card, so I get to do the BRC again ahahhahaha.

Looking forward to playing around on a 250 Shadow for 2 days lol. Should be a hilarious interlude to the day to day of riding the rocket.

Or if it's available take the 6-8 hour BRC II course.... on your own bike; and you still get the card (at least when I coached in Las Vegas we did...) :ninja:

The card does not mean anything but if you have to have it(maybe to show on base) just contact the school you went to and they will send you a another one as said never mind the BRC do the ARC a lot faster plus you use your own bike and one thing I have learned in all the years I have been teaching MSF courses--it is amazing how slow riders ride when they are using their own bike:D

The military is slowly but surely stopping payment for the BRC course they are still paying for the refresher courses like the ARC but doing away with the BRC, and rightly so I never understood why they paid for the BRC in the first place--complete waste of taxpayers money.

We have to have the card sadly, and the military on base facilities are terrible about producing lost cards.

I really don't mind, we do it during duty days as out place of duty.

Kind of looking forward to doing it 10 years later. The first time I ever rode a bike was the BRC, should be a very entertaining refresher.

Not being familiar with US Army acronyms on my first read of your title and first few lines I assumed you were going to a fun-filled month or more of a Basic Recruit Course to reacquaint yourself with mud and water. ;):D

Lost your card!?!?!!?

That's funny because the other day I was going through a box and found my first card from a course I did at NAS North Island in 1975, would you like to borrow it? ')

I know what you're talking about IRT doing it during work hours. They aren't making it mandatory for civilians anymore, but as long as there are open slots, we can slide into the class. They offer BRC, ARC, and ERC courses. I've never actually taken any and was just entertaining the idea of starting at the beginning and taking all 3. Especially if it's free and considered "Safety Training".
