Is American IPA made by the indigenous peoples I wonder?
For American beer in general some say it’s made by our horses...might have been true for Schlitz.

GOC, you may experience a cultural thing here, there are some who when asked their favorite beer, the standard answer is “cold beer” by the case. In the ice chest you’ll likely find Miller, Coors, Busch or whatever was on sale. Lot of these guys will dismiss talking about or drinking imports and craft beers.
That’s the crowd I grew up in, I’m always willing to try something new, Lot of those guys aren’t.

Regardless, while you are here you got to try Lone Star and Pearl if your going to be in Texas, it may be a state law you have to, I’m not sure.

Best beer I ever tasted- Coors from the tasting room at the brewery in Golden, it’s not the same stuff we can buy off the shelf, I don’t care what they say.
What I buy when I’m shopping for myself- Stella
When I’m filling a community ice chest- PBR

I suppose the best way to try the beer and give it a fair review is to start at one end of the shelf and work steadily to the other. Once all types have been sampled, an unbiased opinion can be given! I'm all for trying new tastes/flavours, be rude not to :thumbsup:

I've had 6x, I might even have a bottle around, I brought a dozen different kinds back once, and filled my suitcase with a case of something that we promptly drank 45 years ago

Get yourself a REAL Texas beer - Shiner and something other than Bock. Best would be get him a Blonde from Shiner. Wish I could be there.

Worried about beer and food? You misunderstand me my friend. I was curious as to a price comparison with the UK. Also helps to budget a little when venturing into the unknown!! As for an alcoholic that shares? Never come across one of those before. In which case you aren't properly qualified yet!:whitstling: :roll::roll:
You are the guest of honor. Enough said:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

He is probly right, and I’m probly dating myself, I left Texas over 30 years ago. Back then they had shiner something beer but I was too busy with Lone Star to pay attention. I think it was made in Texas once upon a time.
