Speedo trouble on Touring Model

Show us what you're trying to fit and we can identify it - if it is from a R3 Touring - it wont work on a "Standard" - Do you mean "Tourer"?
Thanks for your continued support, it's a 2008 Rocket 3 Touring. I also have a 2005 Classic so I know thedifference.
As I mentioned earlier the only thing wrong with the speedo that came off was a blown neutral light. Well, that works on this one but not the speedo, odometer, fuel gauge or turn signal canceling switch.

Have you remounted the original to see it that now still works? - Knocking up a Neutral alternative would maybe be an option.

Let me call in @DEcosse who knows the ins and outs of CANBUS better. I don't know is Canbus clocks are simply plug and play or need to be paired up to the ECU.

i knew u said 08 touring

Thank you,
I called two Triumph dealers and they both said plug and play. When I pulled the old speedo I took out the fuel and speed needle trying to get it apart. When I put them back in they didn't work but I chalked it up to me ruining the unit or not getting the needles in straight. The speedo didn't move but the fuel gauge did. I'm going to try to track the electrical system back to the speed sensor. I already ordered a used one and also used fall switch.
I appreciate your efforts.
Carl

Yes, I understand it's confusing to some. I bought a new 2005 Classic back in 2004 and have had almost no problems. It's getting up there in miles so I picked up this used 08 touring a couple of years ago with low mileage for trips and it's been nothing but problems. I intend to keep the Classic forever, awesome bike and a good bit faster!
BTW, wanted to buy a new Roadster but they moved the pegs back, I have replacement knees and they just will not bend that far.

Mine was that I had installed fall detection switch on its side, my error, would not start, but when I changed my road speed sensor everything started working, lights speedometer, turn signals, speed sensor was my demon as far as the speedometer assembly was concerned.
