I did but couldn't be sure it pertained to my year, who knows if and when they change things. Anyways what I did was order a brake/clutch cable kit off Amazon for $34, I can cut to length so hopefully that solves it.

Good luck with that. Nothing has changed on the R3T for cable length. I bought a kit like that and carried it for awhile as a "just in case" scenario. Totally inadequate and I doubt if I could have made it work even in a pinch.

Frankly, IMHO, prepare to be stranded if you use those cables. Those Barnett cables are seriously heavy duty and that is what's needed to be up to the task. Plus, the Barnett's pulls so much nicer than the stock cable. Pick your cable length based on the pictures and buy the cable.

I the words of Marge Howe...If a job is once begun, never finish till it's done...be the job big or small, do it well or not at all.

That bad eh? Well then I'll keep those for emergencies and buy from Barnett.

When I had my 4" over length cable made up by Venhill in the UK - I had them make a spare. It's one of the few "spares" I carry on long trips. Found R3T throttles were a great fit with 2+2 bars.

Just not up to the same size and quality as the factory or Barnett in particular. I didn't see a practical way to fitting the adjusting hardware and ferrule on the cable. I carry an extra throttle pull cable and a spare clutch cable in a tail bag. I suspect I will never use them, but they give me piece of mind. It's not like I am going to find a Triumph dealer anywhere nor would they stock a cable.

It would be interesting to see how many members have actually broke a cable and how many miles they had on them. A little proper lubing goes a long way in solving the problem.

I'm with you...Leaving things to chance is a fools plan in my opinion. It's not like I'm riding a Harley where there is a dealership on every corner of every city!

A couple needed cables, spare fuses, a couple of factory relays, some jumper wire, electrical tape, a spare throttle grip and connectors to bypass a clutch or side stand switch along with a few tools is the plan I have. I can even bypass an ignition switch if needed or fix a simple flat. That Rocket service manual .pdf file with electrical diagrams fits nicely on my cell phone. You can't plan for everything, but I can plan for what I can fix on the road.
Then again, that's just the way I am about stuff.:sneaky::banghead:

I recently added the jack be quick risers and purchased a 2" over cable from Barnett. She told me the same four days till shipped out story too.
I live in MA and the cable came from CA in two days. I was very surprised because she told me they make them to order, but they must have had one in stock I guess for me to get it that quick.
Nice quality cable for sure.

aprox how much are longer cables ,thinking about 16 inch apes >>
