So I have a new to me 2013 Roadster with 65,000KM on the clock.

So far I have replaced the battery, oil filter, oil and rear tyre.

I'm just about to do the radiator hoses and coolant, and planning to remove the final drive to empty the oil out of the filler hole (thanks @Claviger ) and grease the spline.

What else do you recommend for preventative maintenance?

brakes?.cables?,tires?

Yeah will probably pay to check your brake pads and do a brake fluid change/flush.

If you are doing a coolant change - make sure you bleed the all the air out of the cyl head - the bleed screw is at 12 o'clock just above the thermostat housing (with the bike upright or leaning over slightly toward the opposite side to the side stand (not on the side stand).

Air filter(S) also need some attention - not sure what you have if std intake then get one, if pods then give em a clean and re-oil.

What about some new spark plugs as well.

I've read that I need a special tool to bleed the brakes on my bike with ABS, is that right?

To purge the whole system yes you will need the dealer tool. However the first step in the process is to bleed the system as you would on a normal braking system, you can leave it at that until such time as you have access to the dealer tool so that you can purge the ABS later. I have done this myself with no issues at all.

Thanks, I will push through some new brake fluid then. Spark plugs have been ordered.

keep an eye on the clutch cable adjustment

So I can adjust the freeplay at the lever no issues maintaining the 2-3mm, but she likes to clunk into 1st from neutral, and is easier to shift from neutral to 2nd then down to 1st. Should I be messing with the cable adjustment at the gearbox end?
